- Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Access

Mudgeeraba Creek State School shares the vision that every student in Queensland state schools should succeed and receive the support they need to belong to the school community, engage purposefully in learning and experience academic success.

The school provides additional support, resourcing, services and programs for students with diverse needs.  We recognise that some students may require adjustments and support to meet their educational needs and to achieve personalised learning outcomes within an inclusive school setting.

By providing an engaging, relevant and rigorous curriculum for students and support for students with various learning needs we aim to engage, challenge, connect and inspire all students to achieve their individual learning goals and achieve excellence. We aim to ensure that inclusion is embedded in all aspects of school life, and is supported by culture, policies and everyday practice at our school allowing students to access and fully participate in learning, alongside their similar aged peers, supported by reasonable adjustments and teaching strategies tailored to individual needs.

We use a team approach and utilise the combined skills and experience of Classroom Teachers, Inclusion Teachers, Inclusion Teacher Aides, other professionals in the school setting together with families when planning and providing support for students with diverse needs.

Students with diverse needs may include, but are not limited to:

  • Students with disabilities
  • Student with learning difficulties
  • Students with mental health concerns
  • Students in out of home care
  • Aborginal and Torres Strait Islander students
  • Gifted and talented students
  • Students who are refugees
  • Culturally and linguistically diverse students
