At Mudgeeraba Creek State School we believe every student is capable of learning.
Our school motto highlights 'Friendship, Achievement and Respect'.
Teachers are encouraged to use and adapt curriculum and resources developed by Curriculum to the Classroom (C2C). The concept of C2C powered by Teachers (C2CT) was developed at Mudgeeraba Creek State School to acknowledge the important role classroom teachers play in adapting and differentiating C2C materials to engage students and support personalized learning. Teachers remain the single most important factor in successful delivery of any curriculum. C2CT reminds teachers to make judgements about the curriculum for the benefit of the students they teach and differentiate according to the learning needs of students.
The ‘Art and Science of Teaching: an effective framework for instruction' by Dr Robert J. Marzano is the common pedagogical framework adopted by the school. Teaching staff are empowered to think their practice forward through a variety of professional reading, professional development, peer review, personal reflection and mentoring opportunities. Teachers provide students with modelling of 'Life Long Learning' as they engage classes in new ways of working within an approved framework.
